Q & A
→ Example: A typical list or bill of material (BOM) includes easily 100+ products. Those are a wide selection of mechanicals like connectors and a vast range of semiconductors.
- For CAD or ECAD models & libraries, you need to know which versions you need and check which platform or service provider has the most. And then hunt to find the missing ones or develop yourself.
- For dedicated physical or thermal models, there are a few high price tag, special software tools/companies you need to check and then order.
- For material & compliance information, there are few specialists you need to check.
- For lifecycle & status information, there are also a few high price platforms you need to check.
- For PCN/PTN information, check you suppliers, distributors or other platforms. Good luck.
- For stock & prices information, you search a wide range of Platforms, Brokers or Distributors. Go with your preferred supplier, go with a broker, plenty of choice.
- You need tools/calculations or other auxiliary services, good luck with Google and bring along enough time.
- And so on, keep going with manual search, or just stick with what you know and miss chances of new services, businesses, tools and much more.
→ Solution: Use widwis.com & take a shortcut. Get all services listed in 1 search !
Enter products or a full list (BOM) and we show for each single products which business in the industry are able to offer a service for those products.
- You get an immediate reply who can – and who cannot.
- You see replies on services you have no contract with, maybe you even don’t know.
- In addition, we will list a matching selection of auxiliary services which are specialists for this single product. Ranging from simulations/calculations/tools, to testing or storage services, to qualifications services, and much more.
Mainly B2B:
- technicians and engineers in electrical R&D departments.
- component managers.
- purchasers and procurement.
- quality and material engineers.
- optional simulation, software and ECAD modelling engineers.

Long-term vision:
- Become the number 1 service to get checked before any other platform or service is used.
- convincing competitors to get listed
- include/access paywall services
- API & database limitations
- being too slow
Wide industry network, know how the single service platforms and websites are working. Knowing where the holdbacks and limitations are. Taking single puzzle pieces and know how to bring them together into operating solution.
Tbd, will be determined after beta tests feedback comes in. Probably weekly Sales funnel process, mainly via Social Media and strategy by Daniel Priestley.

So far none. Maybe it comes in the future.
Define and agree on the goal. Empower team members to execute and solve problems quickly and directly. I am on the vision & strategy side, stepping aside to make the team room to move forward.
For Startups:
1st Startup semi-successful. Decent ramp-up, but too slow on decision making, lots of mistakes, asset strip sale at the end and liquidation.
2nd Startup as partner, asset strip and bankrupt.
3rd Startup: changing strategy, focusing on customers/demand first, product second. We will see.
